Unhappy Battery charging

Hello,

I have the iLiad for almost a year now and I'm happy with it.

In the last week I've noticed several problems:
1. the device shut down when the battery meter is not completely empty(mostly 1/4)
2. When I charge the device the red light goes off after around 30 min, but when I turn it on the battery is not fully charged, I need several such cycles to fully charge the battery.
3. The power button does not always work, sometimes I need to try several times or hold it for few seconds before the device turn on.

Is there something I should do, or the device need repairing.
My warranty is a about to expire in several days.

Please Help,
Ido Ilan

That sounds no good to me! This behavior is not normal. Send it to repair quickly.

#1 and #2 sound like either a bad battery or a bad charging circuit board. I agree with Gogolo, you should contact iRex support ASAP and see about getting it repaired before your warranty runs out.

Several other people (including myself) have had a similar problem to #3. On mine, it works best if I don't push the switch 100% of the way over. If I aim for somewhere in the middle or 3/4 of how far the slider will go, and hold it there a second, it'll turn on or off a lot more reliably.

I would try to upgrade to 3600 mhA batteries if only I can identify the problem originates from a bad battery.
