I don't manage to listen music :(

Hi,

I work for a french economic daily and we are going to lauch our first offers very soon... (www.lesechos.fr/epaper)

For 2 weeks I just start using iLiad (we will propose eRead too but we didn't receive the machines yet...)

I'd like to know if somebody manage to install a mp3 player on the machine (Version 2.9.5)

Prerequisites: As usual, you need 2.7.1 with the execute-.sh extension.

I don't understand this part... Where I could find the execute-.sh ? :s )

En fait il faut que tu puisses executer des scripts shell pour réussir à faire cela. Ce que tu as copié/collé la c'est qu'il faut la 2.7.1 pour pouvoir executer ces scripts shell (dont l'extension est .sh). Tu n'utilises pas du tout de machine Unix j'imagine ? Dans ce cas le jargon peut être un peu difficile.

Sinon vu que nos activités se recoupent et qu'on est tout deux à Paris, il serait peut être judicieux d'échanger un peu des avis/informations ou de se rencontrer peut être ?

That's very good to hear, snas, that there's going to be a news company using the iliad.

Actually, you can't run applications from contentlister on a factory-new iliad. If you want to run shellscripts (.sh) then you need the developer package enabling it. You can request it here: http://www.irextechnologies.com/node/45

But be aware that you are doing this on your own risk (i.e. if you manage to delete something vital using a shell script, it's not iRex fault)

Btw: On your page you are writing about updating using wlan. I'd really love to know if you are going to distribute it using iDS.

Yes I think they'll distribute it using iDS, at least, last time I had iRex on the phone that's what they told me: they're planning on using iDS for both newspapers and books purchases in the future.

I thought that Les Echos had the right number to call, if they needed help from iRex. Otherwise you should leave a message on their forum, or even PM Karel/Matthijs.

Je pensais que Les Echos avaient le bon contact pour cela chez iRex en cas de problème.
Sinon la meilleure solution c'est un message sur leur forum plutôt qu'un mail. Un message privé à Karel/Matthijs sera nettement plus efficace.
