Scanned books to Epub, best software?

Hi,

i want to convert pdf (tiff images of scanned books) to epub. Basicaly, i want to add some html links to pages within the book and tranfer the images to real text. I was thinking of using finereader to ocr the pages from the scans and then add those pages to a html project. What do you guys think would be the easiest way to do this and what software should i use, freeware or not, to ocr the images and then to build the project for the epub format.

Also whats the best software to use to work with an epub project?

any tips are appreciated and welcomed !

Hi

1 - Finereader Pro 9 or Omnipage Pro 16 for the OCR;
2 - your editor of choice to edit and create the final file(s).
3 - Calibre to create ePub fles from the document(s) created in (2).

Best regards,

Thanks for the reply, for the editor of choice what do you recommend for html, really dont know where to begin. (something that lets you easely update your code page by page without too much fuss, and with an easy interface (windows)). (creating a toc and such)
