Three of my five original Rockets came from libraries. I think something like this was available in Seattle in the late 90's or early 2000's but not anymore.
I'm guessing it didn't work out as well as the libraries had hoped. Michael |

Why don't they charge a nominal fee for the reader rental, then use the money to buy more ebooks for them? The movie stores used to charge for the VCRS...
I know people like my stepdad who are pondering a reader purchase and would gladly pay $1 to try one out. Over time, as more people have their own hardware, they could expand the ebook offerings and ditch the hardware purchases. |
