Can I edit (or even view) .txt files imported from sdcard?

I have my wifi keys in a .txt file on my sdcard. I would love to be able to open that file in a viewer or editor and simply copy the wifi key so I can connect.

Unfortunately I haven't found anything in the forum (via search tools or browsing) that seems to address this.

I've already tried the "copy to library" trick and it doesn't seem to show up in my library, or I don't know how to look for it.

try ES File Explorer to open your txt file and copy your key.

There is no file explorer on my applications list. There is device storage, there is documents to go, there is gallery, library, but the only thing starting with F is Frozen Bubble. Is this a pre-installed app I can pull in?

Ah, good ol' catch-22.

Without a network-to-usb cable, the latest update has to be loaded on wifi. As my wifi key is in a text file that I cannot read, I cannot update.
This is not an absolute blocker but it certainly would be if I were trying to do this on the road away from my PC.

Thanks guys!

Well, I entered the wifi key by hand, and (after the usual first glitch trying to connect to a 501g link) it worked. Update successful, and NOW I can edit things quite easily.
