Kobo Arc 7 HD static
My Kobo Arc 7 HD audio seems to have a lot of static/hissing on audio. It's been doing this since I bought it, but I don't listen to audio that often so I just thought it was the specific link I was listening to. Now I realize that it's occurs on any audio link I listen to.
I talked to Kobo and they think it's a faulty speaker. I don't think it's the speaker itself though, it doesn't sound like a loose or torn speaker. I tried the earphone jack and that didn't work too (but my head phone connection is suspect, so I'm not too sure about those results). It may be the circuitry to the speaker or the audio software. Hopefully it's software related, then possibly I would be able to reinstall the faulty software (if I knew how - LOL). Unfortunately I've had it for over a year so it's out of warranty. Anyone have any ideas on what to do? Thanks, Joel |
