Near the top of the page, it lists the cut off date as January 31st, 2012, but under restrictions it lists it as January 31st, 2013. I don't know the reason for this discrepancy, but I have successfully taken advantage of the promotion, so it seems to still be available.

Nice. They used to offer device deals like this all the time. That's how my wife and I got our first MP3 players back when then had the original Gold plan.

Well, from the last thread someone posted here on this promotion, it seemed to indicate that it had ended. It looks like it might be a yearly thing from what I understand.

Which part? I've seen plenty of articles that mention an average reader reads in the single digits for the year.

considering I know quite a few that can count the number they read their entire adult lives in the single digits (or less), that isn't surprising. Especially now that there are other media choices available and that generations have grown up on.

Yup, it typically runs 8-12mos. more or less. Been going on pretty much since Amazon bought audible. Once upon a time the eligible devices was a HUGE selection. The past couple years not so great. Non-Apple devices look to be available in very limited quantity. Kindle Fire's have NOT recently been offered either.

The best deals are right away when the offer starts again. So check often. When they have a wide selection of devices it's a nice deal which we've used twice. We're eligible again but last and this year no devices of value to us when we looked. Would love a Galaxy Player but haven't been able to catch the deal when they were to be had. Maybe next year though Amazon Warehouse might turn out the best way, no hurry here though.
