FlatLrf: Web-to-Librie conversion tool
FlatLrf is a free Java application which allows you to recursively download Internet webpages to your Sony Librie e-book reader. Very nice!
At one time the Sony Librie e-book reader only allowed you to read a limited choice of commercial e-books available only to the Japanese market. Then in November txt2lrf came out, the first hack attempt by 'scythic' to convert your own text files to the Librie's LRF format. It was followed by MakeLFR and finally Sony's own official add-on tools allowing you to save your own reading material to the Librie. FlatLrf is yet another valuable tool that should have been released by Sony the very first day it put the Librie on the market! |

This tool looks promising... but now the question is...
How do I test these creations, without having an actual device? Is there an emulator out there? Some other way to see how they'd "look" on the device, without actually having physical access to one? |

David, there is an Librie emulator, but here comes the kick: it only works on Japanese Windows systems. At least this is my explanation because I've never been able to install it properly on my system:
- http://www.sony.jp/products/Consumer/LIBRIE/download/ - http://www.aii.co.jp/contents/smojsd...llLIBRIeLE.exe Curious if you are more successful. |

you'll need japanese support on englishxp... but you can download english hacks for the windows software and the librie itself so you shouldn't have any difficulty getting through the setup process by guessing what to click
