So I've finished reading my book
As the title says, when I've finished reading the latest literary masterpiece I've always wondered what the protocol is.
Should one leave the book at that page, or perhaps put it back to the cover page or maybe the first actual reading page. Not a life or death question just wondering like |

None of the above. I remove it from my ereader.

LOL, I thought I was the only person on the planet who wondered about this! For what it's worth, I usually put it back to the cover. I have no idea why. Probably has something to do with obsessive/compulsive disorder.

I leave it where it is, at the last page. If I want to read it again, I'll put it back to the first page when I read it again.

I delete it, since it's stored in 4 or 5 places other than the reader.

When I'm finished reading a book, I go back to the first page before I exit it.

When I used to leave them on my reader, I'd leave it at the end page as the most full proof method to know that I've already read the book. Never have to bother moving it into the "books I've read" collection, etc.
But now I just delete it from my reader. I only keep about 100-150 books on my reader at once. When I had over 1200 on my reader, it slows the reader down. |

I've always put books back to the front cover after I've finished them, it just feels more tidy to me that way

I remove it from the ereader, then I make a note on Goodreads and in Delicious Library that I've read/finished it.

But books that I have purchased, I download to my computer. Run through Calibre then save elsewhere. |

I used to go back to the front page before opening a new book. Usually I have highlighted several words I would like to check, so I don't delete the book right away.
However, since I'm using a Kobo it's different because when you reach the last page Kobo automatically closes the book and brings you back to the home screen |

I just leave it where I stopped and find something else to read.
Of course I don't always finish books, and I hop between apps on the tablet so my record is a bit of a mess anyway. |
