Touch Confortable rubber band grip

Hi.
I just wanted to contribute to this forum by recommending an accessory I made myself to my Nook (I imagine it can be adapted for other readers)
It's just a rubber band and some hooks.
As you can see from the images, the hooks are placed in the gaps on top and bottom of the device. The rubber band holds them together and allows you to slide your hand or fingers. In this way you don't have to put pressure with your fingers to hold the reader. It is very confortable and gives you more ways and positions to read.
I definetely recommend it.

Here you see the band and the hooks (I guess you can change the threading of rubber band for other patterns)

In these pictures you can see I don't use my thumb to hold the reader.

PS: One last suggestion. I sandpapered the sharp glossy black edges of my Nook and now is much more confortable to hold.

Definitely an issue I have had! Good solution! I find it difficult, after awhile, to hold the Nook in one hand comfortably. I also find it difficult when I'm standing in the subway, always afraid of losing my grip of the Nook. I'm also wary of theft as it's not uncommon for electronic devices being snatched out of people's hands at the stations or on the trains.

What kind of hooks did you use?

You should forward your post to B&N. Perhaps they will incorporate this idea or some other solution that alleviates the need to grip

I made myself those hooks using some wire I had.
I guess you can also use the metal of a large paperclip.

Making my own hooks is a little too McGyver for my DIY skills sadly

I do however have lots of thin hairbands. So I put one hairband horizontally across at the top and one at the bottom. At the back I looped two hairbands together (just passing one through the other so together they look like a bowtie). I then looped the joined hairbands through the top and the bottom of the horizontal hairbands. From the back of the Nook, it looks like a warped I. A scrunchy I that is pulling towards the middle. Unlike Ret's setup, I only have one band to put my hand through rather than two. I've only tested it out for a few minutes and it does allow me to hold the Nook without applying a grip with any of fingers. I'm holding the Nook but my fingers are resting rather than applying pressure.

I'll get back with a review once I've used it for some heavy reading. Let's see if it'll actually be comfortable.

I only have colorful hairbands so the red I'm using is slightly distracting. If this really works, I'll buy some black ones and use those.
