PDFRead v5 available on Sourceforge

Sometimes, simplicity wins the day. PDFRead is an OS-independent application to convert PDF and DJVU documents into various e-book formats with just a few mouse clicks. It is similar to the popular PDFrasterFarian tool in that it uses several image processing filters to generate highly optimized content for e-book readers.

PDFRead was written by the truly gifted Ashish Kulkarni along with the help from various other MobileRead members including Falstaff, alex_d, and sammykrupa. For an ongoing discussion on PDFRead check out this thread.

Thumbs up

Thank you!

One question though, if I choose to 'do not split pages' in the customise section the resulting .imp does not cover the full page. Is there anyway to make it cover the whole page area of the 1150? (pic attached hopefully)

Again thanks -- its great to have the option of putting a pdf on my reader!

That option specifies that it should generate the ebook in portrait mode (without splitting up the page). As the 1150 does not have that high a resolution, it is unfortunately not of much use. If you do want to try that, please exchange the horizontal and vertical resolution (as they are configured for landscape mode), set the rotation to none, and then use the option 'do not split pages'.
