Uncontrolled fast forward on Sony Touch

About to go on holiday tomorrow and suddenly my Sony Touch edition has gone crazy. When I open a book and press page turn it starts racing though the volume fast forward. When I press page turn it stops again but when I try to move a page on its up and racing again. Help . Help. And help!!!!

I don't own the 600, but the first thing I would do is carefully run a cloth or even a toothpick around the bezel area, trying to clean any debris that might be stuck in there. If you can't also make it go crazy in the fast reverse direction, then I'd especially suspect debris on the right side.

Well I tried cleaning carefully round the bezel. I switched it off and rebooted a few times. Finally sacrificed my oldest child to a demon lord or other and thankfully now it seems to be working. Pity about the kid though...
