Zinky boot SD

Hello,

i have a Zinky ebook. 16Mb ram + 64 Mb internal + max 1Gb SD card.

I have tried to boot on SD with file update_kernel (containing a unix script ..).

But unsuccesfully.

Hold center button. Power-on.
Power-on. Wait first screen. Hold center button.
Same sequences with first right button and first left button.

Any idea about firmware flash sequence ?

Tnx

Hi,

I'm very newbie, and I have not received my Zinky.
Could be as the Coo-ler? Connect the USB cable, press the
third side button, middle button and reset.

at the site of the manufacturer "coolreaders" is fine

The cool-er is a EB600 clone. Zinky is a EB100 clone.
Zinky is the first generation of EB models, 16mb ram and 64 mb of internal flash. cool-er firmware is too big ...
I have tried reset sequence as descibed with in SD a custom script, without success.

Yes may be a clone of EB100.
I said only the way to restart explaining on the page of coo-ler, but I see that you also 've tried and not worked.
I read somewhere that a StareBook (EB100) was converted to Cybook Gen3. In fact there is a video youtube.
May be, boot on SD with file update_kernel (containing a unix script ..) like a StareBook.

Sorry for my bad english.

I finally have my zinky. I tried all the ways that I read to boot from the SD looking at all the EB100 clones (Bookeen Cybook Gen3, elaborates TXT.BOOK (1st & 2nd revision), eReader STAReBOOK (STK 101), OrsiB721, B721 + Orsi, Pocketbook 301, Foxit Eslick) and no results.

any ideas?

Due to lack of those who do EB-100 port (as opposed to those who ask about) I close this thread. Refer to the hardware status page instead.
