calibre not seeing my LG3 v410 tablet
have the debbugging info and although I'm relatively ignorant it appears to see the device. However, it doesn't behave that way. The screen/menu doesn't modify to show the device connected info. The current setup does find my lg g3 just fine and the device is not in the ignore db.
Oops forgot the debugging info: Spoiler:
Edit: Hmm turned on server to try and connect wirelessly and that seemed to make it connect usb on the restart. (had restarted it a few times with device attached/unattached etc. and that didn't help. /shrug dunno Last edited by DiapDealer; 11-05-2015 at 07:11 PM. |

Calibre only supports 1 connection at a time.
AFIK Calibre companion is the only Android APP that can use the Wireless device connection Did you have that APP connection active AND Also have the USB connected? That's a no-no. WDC can be enabled but not in USE when you use a USB/folder connection |

Problem Solved
sorry my final edit wasn't clear. The problem resolved itself when I restarted Calibre after starting the server. I wasn't trying to use 2 devices at the same time, I changed out the devices to narrow down the problem.
By wireless I had meant to connect to server. Discovered CC and love that little app, seems to work beautifully. Thanks for the response. |

The old Calibre (.9x) was much simpler to troubleshoot (less user info needed )--- It had only a few features back then
Content server (network: wired or WiFi) = Pull from Host, can use any browser Wireless Device (Do they even make an Android device with a Wired connection?) = (mostly) HOST Push, looks like any USB connected to Calibre Device. The mostly, is there because of the Sync feature that updates what is on the device without you being at the host. |

Not sure if this is relevant but I haven't had much luck transferring anything to an Android device since Google switched to the MTP protocol, I've tried different devices and different PC's and MTP seems to be cursed as far as I'm concerned.
I can transfer using Wifi and even by Micro SD but simply connecting a cable to the devices has only driven me crazy. |
