Not possible. It was something that a lot of users and reviewers asked for, but it didn't come to pass on Kindle 2 either.

Thanks a lot! Too bad they didn't think about folders. What are you doing if you have 1000 docs?

Exactly! Kindle 2 is ever-so-slightly better -- you can see personal docs, periodicals, or books only -- but it still needs a more fine-grained sorting ability.

I have a lot of books and the only thing that helps is that the most recent items go to the top of the list. I'm with you, though--they need to allow for folders or something like folders.

Another organization tool I use is when I am done reading a book I delete it and it goes to the "Archived Items" folder. It lets me keep track of what I have read. It is still listed on my K2, but it is not taking space on my K2. But this only works for content downloaded from Amazon.

Periodicals go to folders

I've downloaded some issues of Financial Times....and I see they organize these in a folder-like system. On homescreen you can only see "Financial Times - the latest issue you've downloaded" and when you click on it....you are taken to the list of issues. This is pretty good, but they should also let you do this manually. May be in Kindle3 (I hope)
