I was going to recommend Andrew Vachss — the hardest boiled of hard-boiled thriller fiction, the author even has an eyepatch, for chrissakes — but everything he's ever written is artificially jacked up in price on Amazon.
This is one case where buying used through alibris or abebooks would be the better bet. Flood is the first novel, which will fall apart after one reading. |
