okay I am new here and I am using caliber for audio books its great so far but I have one question I know that it stores the data in the folder with the file is there a way to write the date and image to the file.thanks

I think you would have to use a tool that knows how to do that to audio files.

I use https://musicbrainz.org/doc/MusicBrainz_Picard for that.

First I fix up the audio book in MusicBrainz_Picard, then I store it in calibre. A bit extra work, but nice in the end.

okay thanks for the reply I have downloaded this can this software retrieve all the meta data for audio books

It is a community effort. If someone has uploaded the metadata, then you can download it. Otherwise you have to manually fill it in, and perhaps upload it... There are some very helpful tools to make that easy. I suspect mostly music has metadata available, but I have had luck with some audio books.

There is no communication between calibre and picard, except for the files.
