Jaa, das habe ich mich ein ein paar anderen Titeln auch schon gefragt, "Twilight" z.B. von Stephenie Meyer. Ich muss da mal das Sample herunterladen. Vielleicht basiert die AZW-Datei auf einer ePub-Vorlage?

Mit anderen Worten: Hier handelt es sich um ein ePub-Book, dass per Mobi Creator umgewandelt wurde. Ich finde die Benamsung also eigentlich als Irreführung. Jeder kann ungedrmte ePubs per Creator umwandeln, da der Creator die ePubs anstandslos importiert und konvertiert. Resultat ist aber ein Mobifile.

So isses. So gesehen müsste Amazon allerdings bei allem dahinter schreiben (doc), (rtf), (pdf), etc. - je nachdem, was als Ursprungsdatei hergehalten hat.
Die Datei kommt übrigens aus UK, deshalb wohl auch das Verkaufsverbot für US-Kunden. |

Nicht wirklich. Ist so ziemlich das Gleiche. Creator hat einen kleinen Geschwindigkeitsvorteil. Und klarerweise gehen verschiedene spezielle Formatierungen gar nicht.

Ich habe mir heute Nacht noch mein allererstes eBook übers Kindle gekauft - eben die Twilight (ePub)-Version.
Fazit: Eine Leseprobe wird nicht wie beim iPhone durch Kauf zur Vollversion "upgegraded", sondern man erhält zusätzlich die Vollversion aufs Kindle. Man muss die Leseprobe also selbst löschen. Was auf dem Kindle allerdings eine Sache von drei Fingerbewegungen ist. Der Text selbst ist bisher soweit sauber formatiert. Inhaltsverzeichnis mit ansteuerbaren Kapiteln, Kapitel sauber durch neue Seite getrennt, Blocksatz, insgesamt gefällige Aufmachung. Da habe ich schon deutlich schlimmere Leseproben (Conan Omnibus) oder ganz schlimme (Dell Magazine wie Asimov oder Analog) erlebt. Jetzt bin ich mal gespannt darauf, ob Amazon mir wirklich nur die 5.01 US$ berechnet. Das wären nämlich dann bei aktuellem Wechselkurs 3.40 Euro (statt 9.95 für die deutsche Fassung) . |

Yo, mir fehlen nur noch einige Titel/Serien auf dem Markt (die hat auch Fictionweise nicht, grmbl ...).
Ahso, kleiner Nachtrag: Die "jeder Titel innerhalb von 60 Sekunden"-Aussage ist etwas optimistisch. Die Verbindung lässt auch nach wie vor zu wünschen übrig, und ich musste gut 10 Minuten warten, bis der Titel endlich mal eintrudelte. Kann aber auch am schwachen Funknetz liegen. Ich frage mich echt, auf welchen Roaming-Partner AT&T hier zurückgreift? T-Mobile kann es eigentlich nicht sein, da mein Handy gleichzeitig deutlich besseren Empfang hatte. |

Auf 'm iPhone geht's blitzeschnelle! Ist ja auch normales Internettempo. Da ist das Buch schon drauf, wenn man vom Shop zum Kindle umschaltet.
