Happy 10th anniversary, MR!

My favourite section is the Android Devices section, as I own two Android tablets and two Android phones. I've found (and, occasionally, given) good advice there. I don't know how it could be improved: why mess with a good thing?

Thanks!

Happy Birthday MR!

I'd just like to say how much I enjoy this website and the people on it. Great community, lots of good information. I'd have to say my favorite section is the Deals, Freebies and Resources forum https://www.mobileread.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=26
Though there are many close seconds.
Cheers, here's to 10 more!

I don't think any of these devices are officially available in Australia yet! In-store is the Kindle Touch and KK, the Sony PRS-T1, and other assortments like Kobo Touch (and Glo any....minute....now.....gah). Regardless, a book voucher is nothing to be sneezed at!

I spend most of my time in the Kobo section, where I've learned plenty and (I hope) contributed a little back in turn. Also very useful is the Calibre forum, and News is always welcome, but my 'home' is Kobo.

How could it be made better? More folks is always good I guess, both newbies and oldbies who know their stuff. But there's no particular fault to be picked out. Oh wait, one small thing - I'd rather be able to load 100 or more posts on a page, instead of a 40 post limit.

Dark horse suggestion: national/regional forums, if others are interested? "What do I buy" is a very different question in Australia, for example, than in the USA or Finland or Japan. I wouldn't suggestion a subforum for each category or anything like that, but maybe one "Australia" forum, and so on, for groups large enough for it to be workable.

Thanks for all the work you do - this is by far the best place on the web for e-reading information and support.

10 years! Congratulations, really... its so unusual to see a forum still flourishing so well after so long!

Favourite sections... like many others, Deals and Freebies has a strange attraction But, the other section I like is the actual ebook Readers section. When I first joined I had NO idea what was out there, and "Which one" helped me to make a decision. Its an immensely useful section and I still browse in there from time to time.

Again, congratulations and a medal... its amazing.

Feliz aniversário, MR! When I started messing with eBooks, MobileRead was already at top Google results as a strong and varied community of book lovers. Since then, it has been a great resource for sharing knowledge, and I learn a new thing everyday.

My favorite forum section is the Workshop, where I always find a good post, and where the development of eBooks happens before my eyes. People really want to help each other and share useful information. In a ever changing market, this is a necessity. It's really nice to be between all these great specialists and enthusiasts!

Recommendations:
I vote for a "thank you" button! There's situations where you just want to say this, not necessarily give karma.

Cheers! Let's celebrate!

Happy anniversary

I can't believe you've been here for ten years and I just discovered you less than a year back! As for forums, I like most Deals, Freebies and Resources since I discovered I can buy Kobo books at very good discounts which I had no idea of before coming to the forum.

I love other forums also and I check them out regularly, especially News and General Discussion, as well as the e-readers section, which helped me find valuable information on new e-readers from people who actually use them as opposed to the reviewers who review them after one hour of us.

I haven't been here for very long, but for now can't think of a any big improvement.

Keep on the good work and thank you!

Kindle Developer's Corner. Most definately. I love sharing my knowledge, passion, and skills with others. And the growing list of "simple debricking success reports" makes me smile every time I add another report to that list.

MobileRead is one of my top THREE favorite websites that I visit (and contribute to) every day!

I hope to enjoy the next ten years of MobileRead on the web as much as I have enjoyed the past year (my first anniversary is approaching).

Keep up the GREAT work, MobileRead staff and contributors!

Congratulations on TEN YEARS! I didn't know the site was anything beyond 2007 when the Sony Reader 500 came out. I have been here daily (not posting all the time) but here catching up on everyones ideas and questions. Thank you ALL for sharing and special Thanks goes to those who have provided the wonderfully formatted books in the public domain. It's been fun reading those classics.

I started with the Sony Reader forums and have now expanded to the Amazon Kindle Forums. There is such a goldmine of information on MobileRead that I AWAYS pass it onto my friends who by an e-Reader device.

Congrats and thank you!

My favorite section is News because I think it's fun to follow what's new in this emerging technology. My second favorite is Reading Recommendations because I love books and I love discussing books.

Suggestions: I think some forums have too many stickies at the top. In fact, I never look at the stickied threads, my eyes skip right over them because they are "always there" and never changing. I am not sure why things like the Kindle Fire are in a separate folder, I think the prefixes are better. I think the e-books for download area is hard to navigate.

Congradulation on having such staying power! It is wonderful that that the site has stayed vibrant for so long. I have more than one favorite place on Mobileread. I love the library. I read a tremendous amount and this helps keep me satisfied. Don't change it. I like the way it is! The Flea Market is another place I hover around for great deals. I would love to see a 'monthly check in' to find out is items are still for sale or not. Last but very not the least is the Calibre forums which have helped me with Calibre over the past year. I would like to see an index of problems solved or important posts, although I don't know how this could be accomplished since there are so may posts where people have been helped with issues.
This list altlhough small for the reason of this post, is far from the only places I visit on Mobileread. I visit the wiki, the hardware reader forms, and just about anywhere I can get to! I also recommend Mobileread to friends who are interested in ebooks and ebook readers as a place to start for research. I started here and keep coming back! The smiley says it all.

Thank you for creating and maintaining the site. Congratulations on 10 great years!

My favorite forum is General Discussions I enjoy the wide range of topics from books to philosophy.

One improvement for the site in general would be a preview feature that would display the most recent comment on a thread when you mouse over a thread.

Happy Birthday

Very much a late-comer to this site but so grateful to the supportive and helpful posters who seem capable of resolving any problem I come up with.

I think everyone who's been involved in the site on a regular basis has been a life-enhancer to a lot of people, so thank you to you all.

The forum I have used most has been Sigil, so that's my favourite.

Can't think of any improvements.

Here's to the next ten years!

Happy birthday to the forum!

My favorite(s) section(s) are the Calibre forums. When I arrived here, I just discovered this program. But reading to the forums and asking there I depthy discovered this great software. And I absolutely love it!.

And now, I'm happy with the new spanish forums, where all spanish-speaking people will be able to ask and discuse in their native language.

Again, congratulations on your 10 years!
