quick question on multiple devices
love calibre and have been using it for quite a long time now without a hitch
In our house we have two readers both of which run epubs now i have been given a kindle 1 which i know will not use the epub format and i also know that calibre can convert non protected books to something the kindle can use. now my question is if i convert books to kindle format which means in the calibre library there will be different versions of the same book will calibre be able to differentiate which version should be sent to which device happens to be attached at any one time |

Yes. You can tell per device type what book type should be sent to it. Also, Calibre will not automatically send a format that the reader won't be able to read.

You might want to also look at the Reading List plugin. That way you can easily queue up books for a specific device and let them be synced at a later date in a controlled manner.
