need pointers to get newbie started

I bought the latest Kindle DX and am happy to find a resource about hacking it.

The feature I desire in using the DX would be good document editing and file management. Also ability to cut and paste from PDFs, as well as full PDF functionality. Interested also in portable keyboard interface for this device.

Please give me link to get started out of all these threads. I have worked with embedded UNIX/LINUX in the past so understand most of that. Thanks.
