Abou the Métro part, I agree, it is a very useful program to have on a PDA. Even for the map of my own city, which less complex than Paris. When the subway line you need is stopped and you have to take the bus, you are grateful for it ! |

you don't understand : i don't actually *need* one here either. but i *want* one, just so i can put the Métro app on it and look at all the pretty maps. (i actually have a paper map of the paris métro built in to my agenda, and there are public maps in every station and every train car. i don't care, i still want it !!)

There are no maps on the Metro app as I remember it. You can input the start and arrival points, select a time, and unselect the lines that you don't want to / can't take. |

make no mistake, i don't like crowds either. but i don't spend much time in the really crowded parts of the city. and in the meantime, i have 6 or 8 bakeries within a 2 street radius of my appartment, as many four seasons shops, probably twice as many cafés, nearly as many parks for when i want some green grass, concerts, circuses and ballets coming regularly from all over the world, libraries, galeries, museums, shops, friends within walking distance or a short métro ride away, nearly everything within walking distance or a short métro ride away in fact (except for the damned suburbs)... i could go on.
