Macbook Air Review on Newsweek.com

Steven Levy, the tech columnist at Newsweek, was one of the few people graced with a with a loaner Macbook Air to review. Unfortunately, his review was cut short because he somehow managed to lose it. He doesn't know how, but he thinks it got mixed in with the Sunday New York Times and thrown away.

This is actually a pretty funny concept...like something Dave Barry would write a column about. This does bring up something that I haven't thought about in a long time, which is whether electronic gadgets will eventually start to have extra weight/dimension added in just to make them substantial enough for comfortable use. Or, I suppose, to keep them from accidentally throwing them out.

That's already the case with some devices. There are many mobile phones which have keys that are too small for me to comfortably use, and some MP3 players I wouldn't dare buy for fear of losing them.

I lost one of my first mp3 players because it was very small. To this day I have no idea what happened to it. I suspect it fell into the trash and resides in the county landfill.
