You should certainly use the OPF file if it's available - it contains all the metadata for the books, the navigation links, etc.

It didn't display any differently than when I use the htm.

It looks mostly the same. I think the justification is OK (never used this app before), but there's no indents or anything like that.

Are these commercial LIT files or just ones someone has just produced themselves somewhere? All of the commercial ones I've tried it on (granted not many) have worked perfectly using the OPF.

They aren't commercial ones... however, they seem to display fine in mobipocket reader.

Where did they come from? Perhaps you could report the problem to the creator and see if they are able to sort out the problem?
