Conversion problem on large file

I'm having a conversion problem I'm hoping someone can help with. I have a rather large drm free Kindle book, 41 megs, to be precise, that I'd like to convert to epub. The problem is everytime I try to convert it will hang at 1% before suddenly jumping to 100% and says conversion failed. Any ideas what might be wrong? Any and all help is appreciated.

The only settings I mess with when setting up to convert is Remove First Image, Remove Fake Margins, and Do Not Split On Page Breaks. Am I doing something wrong and what, if anything, can I do to fix this?

It says you ran out of memory - the only way to convert this book is to get more RAM, not certain how much you have or how much you'd need.

My laptop is topped out at 2 gigs. Any ideas?
