I've uploaded a file called utf8Rus.html at http://drop.io/lucy041 .
This file has some Russian characters, Can you open it and select encoding utf-8 to see if you can see it? Probably also need to switch to Russian language. Thanks! |

If ePub on the jetbook supports font embedding,t hen all you'd need do is create an ePub that has the Russian font embedded.

The HTML file worked fine as far as I can tell, my russian never got past the "stoe Etta" Etta carendash stage. The translation dictionary gave me this: Viagra, cher or snow, and torque All that appeared on the page were the three russian words. The JBL reads UTF8 encoded .txt files, I often select that for the format of .nws (Outlook Express) Save As, using XP's notepad. The JBL seems to automatically detect the languages it supports. Someone with access to text of the full range of the supported languages, might verify that. Luck; Ken |

I've uploaded a chinese utf8 file uftchi.html at http://drop.io/lucy041 There are some chinese characters between the words "start" and "end". Could you check if these chinese characters are displayed as space which indicate adding chinese fonts might solve it. Or are they as if they are not there-- this is the case of libre?
