How to support a new device?
I read in the FAQs to add support for a new device, you need to copy the debug file and send it to the developer. But how exactly do you send it to the developer? I couldn't find an email or PM to send the information.
I'm guessing maybe you just make a post? Well if so, here is my request for support for the T-Mobile US HTC HD2: CONNECTION AS A DISK DRIVE: Version: 0.7.14 USB devices on system: [u'usb\\root_hub&vid10de&pid03f1&rev00a3', u'usb\\root_hub20&vid10de&pid03f2&rev00a3', u'usb\\vid_0424&pid_2504&rev_0001', u'usb\\vid_045e&pid_00f5&rev_0101', u'usb\\vid_045e&pid_00f5&rev_0101&mi_00', u'usb\\vid_045e&pid_00f5&rev_0101&mi_01', u'usb\\vid_045e&pid_00f9&rev_0003', u'usb\\vid_045e&pid_00f9&rev_0003&mi_00', u'usb\\vid_045e&pid_00f9&rev_0003&mi_01', u'usb\\vid_0471&pid_0815&rev_0000', u'usb\\vid_058f&pid_6362&rev_0100', u'usb\\vid_0930&pid_6545&rev_0110', u'usb\\vid_0bb4&pid_0ffd&rev_0000'] Drives detected: (0) E:\ ~ \\?\STORAGE#VOLUME#_??_USBSTOR#DISK&VEN_&PROD_USB_ FLASH_MEMORY&REV_PMAP#5B851500000A&0#{53F56307-B6BF-11D0-94F2-00A0C91EFB8B}#{53F5630D-B6BF-11D0-94F2-00A0C91EFB8B} (0) K:\ ~ \\?\STORAGE#VOLUME#_??_USBSTOR#DISK&VEN_&PROD_&REV _#3FBF5000-7351-0801-3577-790323705930&0#{53F56307-B6BF-11D0-94F2-00A0C91EFB8B}#{53F5630D-B6BF-11D0-94F2-00A0C91EFB8B} Looking for ALEX Looking for ANDROID Looking for AVANT Looking for AZBOOKA Looking for BLACKBERRY Looking for BOOQ Looking for BOOX Looking for COOL_ER Looking for CYBOOK Looking for DBOOK Looking for E52 Looking for E71X Looking for EB511 Looking for EB600 Looking for EBK52 Looking for ECLICTO Looking for EDGE Looking for ELONEX Looking for ESLICK Looking for FOLDER_DEVICE_FOR_CONFIG Looking for GER2 Looking for HANLINV3 Looking for HANLINV5 Looking for ILIAD Looking for INVESBOOK Looking for IPAPYRUS Looking for IREXDR1000 Looking for IREXDR800 Looking for IRIVER_STORY Looking for ITALICA Looking for ITUNES Looking for JETBOOK Looking for KINDLE Looking for KINDLE2 Looking for KINDLE_DX Looking for KOBO Looking for MENTOR Looking for MIBUK Looking for N516 Looking for N770 Looking for N810 Looking for NEWSMY Looking for NOOK Looking for NUUT2 Looking for PALMPRE Looking for PDNOVEL Looking for POCKETBOOK301 Looking for POCKETBOOK360 Looking for PRS505 Looking for README Looking for S60 Looking for SHINEBOOK Looking for SNE Looking for SWEEX Looking for TECLAST_K3 Looking for THEBOOK Devices possibly connected: None -------------------------------------------------------------------------- CALIBRE WITHOUT PHONE CONNECTION: Version: 0.7.14 USB devices on system: [u'usb\\root_hub&vid10de&pid03f1&rev00a3', u'usb\\root_hub20&vid10de&pid03f2&rev00a3', u'usb\\vid_0424&pid_2504&rev_0001', u'usb\\vid_045e&pid_00f5&rev_0101', u'usb\\vid_045e&pid_00f5&rev_0101&mi_00', u'usb\\vid_045e&pid_00f5&rev_0101&mi_01', u'usb\\vid_045e&pid_00f9&rev_0003', u'usb\\vid_045e&pid_00f9&rev_0003&mi_00', u'usb\\vid_045e&pid_00f9&rev_0003&mi_01', u'usb\\vid_0471&pid_0815&rev_0000', u'usb\\vid_058f&pid_6362&rev_0100', u'usb\\vid_0930&pid_6545&rev_0110'] Drives detected: (0) E:\ ~ \\?\STORAGE#VOLUME#_??_USBSTOR#DISK&VEN_&PROD_USB_ FLASH_MEMORY&REV_PMAP#5B851500000A&0#{53F56307-B6BF-11D0-94F2-00A0C91EFB8B}#{53F5630D-B6BF-11D0-94F2-00A0C91EFB8B} Looking for ALEX Looking for ANDROID Looking for AVANT Looking for AZBOOKA Looking for BLACKBERRY Looking for BOOQ Looking for BOOX Looking for COOL_ER Looking for CYBOOK Looking for DBOOK Looking for E52 Looking for E71X Looking for EB511 Looking for EB600 Looking for EBK52 Looking for ECLICTO Looking for EDGE Looking for ELONEX Looking for ESLICK Looking for FOLDER_DEVICE_FOR_CONFIG Looking for GER2 Looking for HANLINV3 Looking for HANLINV5 Looking for ILIAD Looking for INVESBOOK Looking for IPAPYRUS Looking for IREXDR1000 Looking for IREXDR800 Looking for IRIVER_STORY Looking for ITALICA Looking for ITUNES Looking for JETBOOK Looking for KINDLE Looking for KINDLE2 Looking for KINDLE_DX Looking for KOBO Looking for MENTOR Looking for MIBUK Looking for N516 Looking for N770 Looking for N810 Looking for NEWSMY Looking for NOOK Looking for NUUT2 Looking for PALMPRE Looking for PDNOVEL Looking for POCKETBOOK301 Looking for POCKETBOOK360 Looking for PRS505 Looking for README Looking for S60 Looking for SHINEBOOK Looking for SNE Looking for SWEEX Looking for TECLAST_K3 Looking for THEBOOK Devices possibly connected: None The device is a PDA and the ebook formats depend on which software you use. That device doesn't report its vendor and prod names to windows, so calibre can't support it. Use connect to folder to connect to it.

Sorry, I'm not sure it is the right place to ask ?
I have a HTC HD2. I know it can't be recognized but is there a way to do a 'batch copy a my library (270 books) to my memory card. Every epub to the directory ...\Reader\Books Each cover.jpg changed to nameofthebook.jpg (and nameofthebook_thumb.jpg) and copied to ...\Reader\Images Thank you if anyone can help. |

Hello !
Thanks for your response. I'm new to Calibre and to the HD2. I was previouly using Mobipocket on another device, but Mobipocket for the HD2 is not finger friendly and does not seem to be going to change (no more versions). So I tried the HTC reader (that was not built in on my french HD2 but I installed it as a cab. It is very beautiful, I like it except that it is a long task to convert every book, and to rename every cover, and then copy each one. I think I gonna do it for my french books, because for the english ones I did not find any dictionary (translation) solution in that reader. Do you know a reader (beside mobipocket) that is able to do that ? I can't connect to disk from within calibre, I must do it with the explorer, I don't know why. Thanks |

You shouldn't have to rename every cover, and Save to Disk should work great, that's how my wife uses her HD2. She prefers the HTC Reader, but you can look at uBook. She has that installed, too.

I found that in the Manilla ereader there is a function search in Google or Wikipedia, I was hoping that it could be changed into a dictionary search ... Quote:

You can control the folder name with the Save to Disk pattern. I don't know where it needs to go for you, but can't you set it that way? This is not a problem for my wife - she mostly uses the Calibre content server with the HD2 to get each book she wants via wifi or 3G and store it wherever she points the save operation.
