The sony reader and PDF files. A short review with rasterfarian

A member here asked me to write a quick review on how the Reader handles his PDF-files.

The result are here: http://hightech.afmag.net/pdf-and-the-sony-reader.html

As you might expect, the quality of the reader's PDF-reading capabilities is very bad, especially if the format of the book is as weird as the given PDF (wide).

I've also made pics of the same content, but then after processing it with rasterfarian. It's quite a difference

Funny to see you're using the total page counter that I made.

yeah. I wanted to see how many pages the reader can do so I can write some finite info on it, too bad I didn't have the chance. Because of the tests with memorysticks and sd-cards, the reader gets recharged everytime...

I just noticed in the phots that the clock is displaying a 240hour tim. Mine displays in 12 hour with am/pm. How do you switch between the two?

From the main menu, select the "Settings" menu, then "About." You'll see a message about the clock next to the battery symbol. Press the "0" key to step through the settings.

Well, I just simply throw the pdf through rasterfarian https://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?p=77408

Nothing much to teach actually..
