Nope. Not even close!

I'll add a hint; We took a three hour bus ride from the coast. Then we took a motorized 15-person canoe up-river for about 6 hours, to a confluence of three rivers, where upon we switched to a smaller 4-person motorized canoe for another three hours. At that point we were let off at a jungle 'general store' selling kerosene, ropes, machetes, tinned foods, beer and... KitKat bars! Go figure!?! At the point I began trekking with the friend I'd met the week before in a remote scuba diving venue... a small island 50km off the coast. Does that help? Stitchawl |

The KitKat bars made me think Australia, but the go figure comment would be an indication that KitKat bars are not to be expected, places that come to mind is Laos or Burma.

Another hint... While going up river, I saw one of the locals sitting beside the river and decided to take a picture of him. But when he picked up his blowgun and pointed it at me, I decided not to take the photo... Besides blowguns, the locals also use very crude crossbows to hunt small mammals. Stitchawl |

Nope!
Nah.. Remember, I said it was NOT in the Amazon region in the question. Nopers! Keep in mind that blowguns and crossbows are used by many different indigenous peoples. Stitchawl |

And last time I checked that included Borneo.
We are obviously clueless as to rain Forests. |

I'm going out on a limb and say that because of your affiliations to the American Indians, is it somewhere in North America? Although KitKats wouldn't be that unusual a find... Last edited by orlok; 11-05-2012 at 07:33 AM. |

I never expected this to be so difficult.
Outside of the Amazon basin, where is the LAST REMAINING VIRGIN RAINFOREST? 1. Country - Peninsula Malaysia 2. Name - Taman Negara National Park 3. Size - 4,300 sq. Kilometers of dense jungle 4. Name of the indigenous people who inhabit this area. - Orang Asli mountainous region that forms its western border - Cameron Highlands famous for two completely different 'things' - Tea (of course) and Gambling casinos! It really is a fun area for a vacation. I've spent many happy days wandering around that jungle, on foot and in canoe, camped out in 'hides' to photograph animals coming to natural salt licks. This was where I saw my first and only wild tiger! (I figured I was safe. I was wearing Tiger Balm...) Somebody please post an easy question. Stitchawl |

Here is an easy question.
I walked to the store the other day, and I walked across the parking lot of a gas station that is in the process of a major remodel. As I crossed the parking lot I noticed that someone had spray painted some lines on the ground, and one was marked "gas" while the other was marked "water". Obviously these painted lines marked the gas and water lines. However, on my walk back home I cut across the back of the lot and noticed another painted line. It said "big safe". Can anyone tell us what this meant? |
