Kindle Fire drawing attention of game developers

Here's an interesting article from Industygamers about the potential rise of the Fire as a gaming platform.

Kindle Fire: Why Developers Love It

I'm not a developer, but it makes sense to me. The Fire has sold enough units (and continues to sell) to represent a viable and uniform development platform. Android developers can produce software for the Fire without having to take into account all the different phones and Android versions out there.

The article is being discussed, and ripped to pieces, at Slashdot. Sadly there's a lot of misinformation being posted there.

The article makes sense. And, I'd hope that there would be some consistency among the games and other apps as a result of the Fire's sales and popularity.
