D'après cet article, le Kindle 2.0 d'amazon a l'air beaucoup plus moderne et performant que les ebook readers actuels, notament a cause du fait qu'il puisse se connecter par le wifi ou la 3g au net. |

J'avoue que le côté wifi me laisse complètement froid et que je ne vois pas du tout cela comme une "performance" par rapport à mon Sony. D'abord, connecter mon ebook sur mon ordi le temps de télécharger 10 bouquin n'est pas vraiment une galère en soit. Ensuite, le wifi c'est bien, mais dans le cas du Kindle, cela signifie se bloquer sur Amazon. Pas glop du tout.
Cela dit, je reconnais que je suis schizophrène: sur tous mes autres gadgets, je veux qu'ils en fassent le plus possible (les emails, le net, les mots croisés, le café...); pour mon ebook, je veux juste que ce soit un bouquin. Juste ça. Et donc fi du Kindle et de son clavier (Beuark! ) |

Il ne me semble pas qu'il y ait de wifi... non ?
Je retiens surtout les 16 niveaux de gris et la rapidite, oui le nouveau contrôleur en somme et le design ! Apres pour l'EVDO, effectivement ca ne marche qu'aux States mais bon je suis a 2 doigts de me laisse tenter quand meme |

Que ce soit la wifi ou l'EVDO/3G, je trouve le concept plutôt raté au final: d'un côté on télécharge des bouquins sans se connecter, de l'autre, on est quand même obligé de brancher la machine pour la recharger! Et en plus la connectivité sans fil, ça use les piles, donc plus on télécharge de bouquins, plus la machine passe de temps branchée à un fil pour se recharger!!! |

Je suis d'accord que de ne pas supporter l'epub est vraiment de mauvais gout. Apres pour leur format, ils ont mis en place un systeme economique qui semble viable, au moins au US, donc pourquoi pas. Au fait toujours contente de ton 700 miss ? |

J'ai encore peur pour la lisibilite du 700 en exterieur *sighs* Au passage, je trouve ca petit de devoir payer 30 USD pour proteger son nouveau kindle... comme si ils ne pouvaient pas inclure la cover dans le package ! |

attends encore un mois ou deux : il y a des rumeurs que sony va lancer un nouveau modèle en mars (!) et ils ne sont peut-être pas les seuls. bon, ça n'est pas confirmé bien sûr mais à un mois près ça serait dommage de te précipiter...

Je suis tout a fait d'accord avec Alfy, pas glop ce Kindle. Pour lire pas vraiment besoin d'un clavier ni de wifi d'ailleurs.
J'irais même un peu plus loin, satanas le wifi, parfois il faut savoir se déconnecter pour apprécier la lecture tout simplement. En plus le coté Microsoft d'Amazon, je suis le plus gros je vais tous vous manger moi ça me rebutte plus qu'un peu. Je n'ai pas pu me retenir hier soir j'ai acheté la bio de Frederik Pohl sur abebooks ... quand je pense qu'il y en a qui pense que l'ebook va tuer le livre !! Le truc le plus intéressant du Kindle, c'est quand même l'énorme quantité de bouquins disponibles sans se déplacer, à tout instant. Autant dire que par rapport aux 230 000 ebooks américains, nos 3731 font pâle figure et ne sont pas près de permettre un lancement d'un Kindle en France...
Donc même sans parler du design, s'il n'y a pas de matière à mettre dedans, parler du Kindle en France est de la pure rhétorique ^_^ |

Bonsoir à tous,
Je ne ferais pas de digressions su le Kindle et sa connectivité, mais mon rêve à moi, c'est de laisser mon Cybook le soir pas trop loin de ma Box et de le reprendre au petit matin avec mon journal favori, mes revues préférées téléchargés, ... Quand, de plus, il se chargera par induction électromagnétique en le posant sur un coin du bureau aménagé pour recharger tout mes appareils nomades, alors là... Bon je rève là... à moins que le Gen4 ou 5 ??? @+ |
