Yes. Some apps are built to work on both iPhone and iPad and adjust their resolution and entire format of their screens accordingly. Many iPhone apps, however, do not, and you just get an iPhone-sized image in the middle of your iPad screen (which you can increase in size to fullscreen by hitting a "2X" button in the bottom right, but this can look quite pixelated and ugly in some apps). Obviously there are some app-limitations that may also be applicable (eg. an iPhone GPS-using app on a non-3G iPad).

Cheers,
Marc

All the iPhone apps cannot be used in iPad. There are already so many good apps available in iPad, I think it’s better to use those apps. If you want something special and something according to your taste, then you can go on and create iPad apps of your own.

depends on ur application actually. As there is quite a difference in resolution as well as the other features of iphone and ipad. Some applications are programmed to work with both of them, while others will work only with the either one.

I believe most iPhone apps can work on the iPad (don't expect phone calling apps to work because the pad isn't a phone) but they don't all look very good. I have the iPhone Angry Birds app and use it on both. The iPad app looks better but cost more and didn't add anything new so I just use the app I had. You will find that the iPad version will be more expensive. Sometimes it is worth the extra cost, you get more and they take advantage of your big screen but sometimes it does't matter.
