Questions about Kobo Vox?

Hi, I'm thinking of buying a Kobo Vox but I just have a few questions first.

1. When you're reading a book is there a scroll bar you can drag your finger across to skip to a location? If so does this work for all book formats (including PDFs)?

2. Can the Kobo read MOBI books?

Thanks!

The Vox is a tablet with access to the Google Play Store and because of that you can use several different reading apps including Kindle (for mobi), Aldiko, Mantano, Moon Reader, etc.
Most of these apps allow you to move to a new location by scrolling a bar.
But why would you buy a Vox instead of an Arc? The Arc is a much better device for a small price difference...

I can't speak for this specific person and their reasons, but they might be getting one free or inexpensively from someone who's recently upgraded to an Arc (for example). They may be buying a used Vox, as I imagine the used price of the Vox has dropped quite a bit in most places (it certainly has here). They may have the option of getting a free one (I know of at least one contest giving the Vox away as a prize at the moment). They may live in a market where the Arc has yet to be released.

But I agree with your main point: unless the Vox is steeply discounted (less than half the price of a Kobo Arc) I would strongly recommend the Arc instead.
