Replacement Battery
Replacement battery
Recently had to replace my out of warranty Sony PRS 505 battery, I bought this in the UK http://www.morpethmobiles.co.uk/prod...CS%2DPRD500SLb. Works fine, just passing this on for interest in case anybody needs a battery or perhaps a spare. |

Thanks for that. Although mine doesn't need replacing in a long time as I just bought it, but it's good to know there are alternatives to eBay sellers from Hong Kong.
 It would also be nice to hear how it compares to the original battery after a while.

I have purchased other eBay Hong Kong replacement batteries in the past (for my iPod and other devices) and have had pretty good luck but lately... I got a complete dud for my Sansa E280 which they replaced. The original battery gave me about 15-20 hours per charge and this replacement is about half of that. I also replace my PRS-505 factory battery at the same time and I get about a week and a half of standby time with this POS (piece of Shtuff). I keep thinking about putting the original back in but it was such a pain in the butt to replace the thing that I am just living with it as is for now.

I have the e-bay replacement but I'm still nervous about opening up my 505. I'm going to finish my current e-book first...
