Sony veröffentlicht eBook-Reader-Software für den Mac

Sony hat wie angekündigt die eBook Library Software 3.0 in einer Mac-Version veröffentlicht. Damit werden die neuen eBook-Reader des Konzern kompatibel mit dem Mac. Bisher konnten nur Windows-Anwender eBooks von ihrem Computer auf den Reader transferieren. Jetzt ist auch der Einkauf in Sonys eBook Store vom Mac aus möglich, ebenso kann man eBooks mit der Software darauf lesen. Die Software setzt Mac-OS 10.4.11 oder Mac-OS X 10.5.6 oder höhere Versionen voraus und arbeitet mit den eBook-Readern PRS-505, PRS-700, Reader Pocket Edition und Reader Touch Edition zusammen, der PRS-500 wird nicht unterstützt.
