Done, lets see how it goes since it seems odd that you would put this survey up as your very first post...

That was a long survey....

Eh, I'm not too worried about it being spam. It was on the university servers and if I was going do offer a Kindle 2 this is where I'd advertise it too

Thanks for helping us out! The survey closes in 2 weeks, the drawing will be shortly after that.

Great, I can hardly wait for this K2 to add to my K1. No sense anybody else taking the survey, as I have the winning Kindle all wrapped up.

You should add a "Don't prefer to answer" to the Which category best describes your household income? question

its an anonymous survey. its not like anyone cant tell based on your address in real life. I always found this question kinda dumb if people don't want to answer it.

it obviously shouldn't be asked in some places, but on a survey they can.

Your question, "Please indicate how much of each energy source you believe the United States should use to produce electricity in the future, say around the year 2030" is flawed.

The answers allow for a potential of more than 1000% total. The poll answers shouldn't allow for the individual sources to total more than 100%. There is no option to select 0 for any source, only less than 10%. Even answering "less than 10%" for every item exceeds 100%. Perhaps the secret to more efficient energy production is better math

(example: As the question is formed you could select that you think 100% of US energy should come from oil and solar and biofuel. By the way, energy conservation is one of the possible answers. That's not a production source of energy.)

Yes, some of the questions were a bit off. It was good to get my energy opinion out there though. We need energy independence as soon as possible.
