Are the pebble watches referred to as pebbles or do they have a model name (like the wavecatcher for the casio?)

The first one should've been called Pebbles and the Steel should've been called Bamm Bamm

Is the GPS function an actual map? If you want to get directions, can you get them directly from the watch or do you have to input the address from a tablet/phone/whatever? This assumes you have already loaded the GPS app on the watch.

Knowing who manufactured the components can tell you what the end product will be like. Perhaps some people actually care about the quality of their devices -- an excellent example would be the many who build their own computers. Apparently they care a lot about who manufactures the components.

Two new additions -- Pebble Time Steel and Smartstraps.
For the Steel, they've added new pricing levels of various combinations. Smartstraps Quote:

It definitely does not have GPS hardware so relies on the phone for location. However, you can have the directions shown on the watch which is great for cyling: the phone can remain in your bag or pocket, for instance, and the battery consumption of the watch face is significantly less than the consumption of any smartphone display! |
