Calibre Kindle fire e mail docs problem
e books show up under the docs tab instead of library tab when sent in mobi format through kindle e mail with calibre. I've tried changing the personal doc tag to [EBOK] or leaving it blank but my books still end up in the docs tab. is there any way to help pulling my hair out trying to fix this i imported the books in mobi format and exported them in mobi and they all still showed up under docs.

You cannot email books to your Kindle and have them show up as "Books".
After calibre sends the book with a proper cdetype, Amazon's email intake channels post-process the book and add the PDOC tag back in. Your only option is to sideload it. |

Then as Kovid said, you can still use the Content Server. Most other ereaders don't have any option to email books. |

Have you ever converted those books before? calibre caches conversion settings per book, so setting the necessary options might not have gone into effect.
Try:
Then try downloading the books again. The defaults set in Preferences should now take precedence, and you have already set the PDOC tag in preferences. |
