The slow backward page turn can be a pain in the butt when reading some heavy stuff and needing to go back and forth a lot.
Anyway, am I to understand that Epub format doesn't have this shortcoming? |

I only ever buy ebooks from the on-device Kindle Store when I know what specifically I'm looking for. Otherwise, I use a computer.

I concur...I find the Kindle Store on the device only worthwhile if I know exactly what I want. I use my computer or iPhone for browsing (clearly the only way to sanely peruse Amazon's list of what's hot/free/cheap).

Yes, it sounds odd, but I too use the web browser on my iPhone to buy and send books to my Kindle . It works so much better than the bookstore interface on the Kindle itself.
