iPad What do use the side switch for?

In the settings, its known as the side switch. i use mine to lock the rotation, as to silence the ipad you just have to press and hold the volume down button, so what do use your for?

By the way, I don't know how to do a Poll, otherwise I would have done it that way.

Rotation lock. Holding down the volume key is a more effective way to mute anyway; The mute toggle creates inconsistent behavior between apps. Some disable all sounds, while others... including Apples own software... only disable certain sounds, and still others ignore it completely.
