Calibre Won't Recognize Droid X
Hi, I am new to Calibre. I am running version 0.7.37. I used Calibre, in a previous version, to successfully connect to my Original Droid and download books from Calibre. Today, I bought the new Droid X and Calibre will not recognize it. My computer recognized my Droid X, installed the necessary drivers, and shows the contents in windows explorer. I have the USB Connection on my Droid X set to USB Mass Storage mode. I also tried PC mode. Neither setting works to allow Calibre to recognize my Droid X. I am running Windows XP. I tried enabling the Android driver in Calibre. Here is the debug report with the Droid X connected.

The Droid X will support epub, which is what I used for the Original Droid, and many other ebook formats, but I haven't found the answer for sure. I use Aldiko as my ebook reader, and it likes to have the epub files in a folder named eBooks/import/.

Until this is sorted out just use the Connect to Folder option to connect to whatever folder you want to. Once connected calibre will treat the folder as if it were a device and you would use the Send to device to transfer whatever books you want to your device.

As itimpi said, changes usually appear in the next release. That said ...

Kovid personally checks and reviews every code submission. This week he has been inundated with changes (busy beavers, we developers), and he might not get through the backlog during this cycle.

Any chance you could add Droid 2 Global to the list? Mine is having the same problem as the Droid X above.

My debug output is as follows: Drive H: is the one that my Droid uses for the SDCard when running in USB Mass storage mode. I am running 64Bit Windows 7 Pro.
