Ich habe auch mit "Nein" abgestimmt, es wuerde mir nie einfallen Kafka oder Tucholsky verbessern zu wollen. Ebenso war ich schockiert ueber die neue "Herr der Ringe"-Uebersetzung, die mit moderner Sprache alles besser machen wollte.
Ich erwarte ja auch nicht, zu lesen, dass Robinson Crusoe auf der Insel strandete und erst einmal austickte

also wenn man manche Bücher in Papier so durcharbeitet - die (Schreib-/Druck-)Fehler sind manchmal erschreckend und werden von Autoren nicht so beabsichtigt sein - die korrigiere ich auch.
Aber an Absätzen, Satzbau oder Wortverbindungen sollte man nicht rumschrauben. Von daher mein "NEIN" zu Änderungen.

Ein Streitfall wäre vielleicht noch der Wechel der Rechtschreibung - von alter auf neue - manchmal merkt man direkt, dass da eine Automatik versucht hat, diverse Worte zu ändern, aber einige nicht gegriffen hat (da findet man dann daß und dass im Text) oder andere "Gags". Von der Zeichensetzung fang ich da mal nicht erst an...

Rechtschreibung: Die sollte so sein wie im Original. Künstlich die neue Rechtschreibung aufzusetzen finde ich grässlich!

An so was habe ich dabei auch nicht gedacht als ich von Änderungen sprach. Ich bin auch gegen Modernisierung. Aber zum besseren Verständnis, hier noch mal eine kurze Stelle aus einem anderen Buch der Serie:

An den Weingläsern der Tanten nippten sie nicht einmal.
„Finde das toll, eure Haltung!“ lobte Sigrid.


Also, vielleicht liegt es auch nur an mir, aber meiner Meinung nach würde der 2. Satz besser klingen, wenn er mit "Ich" anfangen würde. Aber scheinbar ist das der Stil des Autors, denn in einem anderen Buch der Serie hab ich so eine ähnliche Stelle noch mal gefunden.

Also das! würde ich definitiv nicht ändern, wie sich das anhören mag sonst ist vollkommen egal, es steht da so also ist es so.
Ich lese gerade Die Kurt Wallander Reihe von Mankell, und da hat sich der Übersetzer des 5. Teils einfach mal gedacht, er macht aus dem skandinavischen "Du" überall ein "Sie", ich bin beinahe ausgetickt, das find ich ist ne Frechheit, denn das verzerrt das Buch dermaßen, da frag ich mich echt welch Gehirnamputiertes Wesen das zulässt... =(

wenn es danach gänge müsste man bei Christoph Marzi (Lycidas, Lumen, Lilith, Somnia...) fast das ganze Buch ändern - der hat seitenweise einzelne Worte als Absätze / Sätze untereinander - das klingt manchmal auch seltsam (mein Stil ist es nicht) - aber wenn es seine Art zu schreiben ist, dann ist es eben so...
(Allerdings sind noch genug Rechtschreibfehler im Druck - die sollten freilich korrigiert werden)

Rechtschreibfehler sind eh so ne Sache für sich.

In dieser Buchreihe gibt es einen Mann, der "Meyer" heißt. In allen 27 Büchern heißt er so.
Auch in Band 1 heißt er Meyer. Nur gibt es 3-4 Stellen, auf dem er einmal Mayer heißt, es ist aber eindeutig der selbe Mann.
Als ich die Bücher in meiner Jugend gelesen habe, ist mir das nie aufgefallen, jetzt aber schon ...
