Both my son and daughters boyfriend want the note. I keep telling them i will buy them a handbag so they can carry them. This craze on large phones especially for men when they can not fit them in their pockets is weird. Even my daughter will not got to the S3 over the S2 because of the size jump.

I got the S3 last month and it fits fine in my front pocket. I was afraid it wouldn't fit so I wore my jeans with the smallest pockets when I got it and was pleasantly surprised. It probably helps that the pants are stretch. I don't use a case, but I did get a screen protector.
I don't use a purse so I only get pants that have decent pockets which isn't always easy to find. Hopefully the phones won't get bigger in the next year or two before I get another phone. |

I see the phones settling down at about a 5 inch Narrow aspect.
There will be exceptions both large and small. That is good. One size doesn't fit all. |

I think I may have to follow suit. And for me, it's not just the phone. My new RAZR M fits fine in a front pocket, but I also need to carry keys, which have a little remote control fob, a USB drive, and a small flashlight (marginalized, perhaps, now, since my phone has an app for that...) and my wallet which while thin on cash is thick with ID, insurance and other cards, and a pen, and a harmonica. If had to keep all that in various pockets, I'd be a wreck. Especially in summer. I had been using a black belt pack, but the '80s called and asked for it back. I have an original Galaxy Note with a 5.3" screen and find it much more useful that my old iPhone 3.5" screen.
The increase in screen size makes using the web possible rather than scrolling all over on the smaller screen. |
