New to Calibre - Recipe/HTML question

Greetings! I just downloaded Calibre a couple of days ago - loving it already! One of the ways I use my Nook is to read original fiction and fanfiction from sites like fictionpress.com and fanfiction.net. I've been using another compiler program to gather the chapters together into one master file for reading. In reviewing the User's Guide, it occurred to me that it might be possible to do this with Calibre using the Recipe function. It would be great to do it that way rather than having to go through a separate process.

Is this possible, and if so, how would I do that? I think I read something about Index pages, and I'm not sure if these sites are set up that way.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for a great program!

This is an interesting idea. There is a sticky thread for Custom Recipes to discuss such ideas.

Thanks to both of you. It appears that it's not possible to do specifically what I was thinking about, but I found a couple of good work-arounds - FLAG in particular - which compiles the html chapters and converts directly to epub. That will do the job for now!
