just started storm front to see what that's all about.
so far with regards to wizards and powers, Hard Magic by Larry Corriea is far superior IMO. i'll hopefully get to CMM before the 20th! watching baseball tends to get in the way of my evenings |

Baseball is a great sport for reading, It's so slow, you can get a lot read before anything happens.

But that's neither here nor there. Having read this month's selection, I should start one of the books that lost the vote, but I'm going to read a Charlie Chan novel next instead. Last edited by WT Sharpe; 09-09-2011 at 09:07 PM. Reason: Because I'm never satisfied with what I've written. |

There is no way I'd ever think of baseball while engaging in those unrelated activities. That's just unnatural.

FYI, for those interested in starting the series from "the beginning", you might have more luck with a search for "The Poisoned Bride and Other Judge Dee Mysteries". It seems that "The Celebrated Cases..." has been retitled as "The Poisoned Bride...". I was able to find for sale under the latter name more easily than the former.
Just a [perhaps redundant] reminder: this book is a translation from an 18th century text, not strictly part of Gulik's Dee series, although obviously related and consistent. ... Or you can wait another 6 years for it to enter the public domain. Last edited by ElMiko; 09-14-2011 at 01:36 PM. |
