Overcast in Richmond with temps in the lower 40s. Not too shoddy. Good walking weather.

The current temp at my present location is 46° F. No snow in the forecast, but if I'm reading that graph right, a week from Monday we'll be having flashbacks.

Just sitting here, waiting for tonight's snow.
Of course, as the storm approaches the meteorologists are reducing their estimates. They now predict that by tomorrow night we'll only get six inches of snow (tolerable). But now they're also predicting up to one quarter inch of ice, so that'll be fun. |

We woke to a large fall of snow this morning here. It was supposed to stop around 7pm (an hr ago) but I'm sure we got more than 6 inches here. At least the snow plow guys have a chance to do their jobs now.

What meteorological phenomenon (phenomena) affects you this day ?
Rain today and monster humidity. I guess I'll be taking my walk in the hospital corridors today. In other news, it looks as if the prediction for flashbacks has been moved up to Sunday.

We got a few more inches of snow overnight. Then the snow changed to sleet, and then to rain for a short time until the temperature dropped low enough for it to become a real ice storm. It's beautiful in the branches of the trees and on surfaces, but it's treacherous out there.
The temperature has been dropping all day -- it's in the mid-20s (F) now, and should be near 0° overnight. Winter has a few more weeks to enjoy itself. EDIT: Oh, yeah. Since the ice stopped the wind has really picked up. Some power lines may come down tonight. |

I keep the windshield ice scrapers in the cars -- usually a good idea, but not today. The car doors are frozen shut under a solid layer of ice.
Fortunately, I keep a spare scraper in the garage. I was able to get most of the ice off, leaving only a thin layer. If we get as much sun as the forecast calls for, we should be okay, windshield-wise. But it will be way too cold for the sun to do much good on the driveway. As to why I didn't finish the windshield scraping? Well, there wasn't enough left of the scraper. |

Hot, sticky, and stormy here. We're having an unusually tropical summer.

Ask her how she plans to get the lighter if the doors are locked? Then suggest she leaves one door unlocked so she can get to the lighter.
