Question [HELP] Calibre TTS services...
Hi all,

Today I've learned that since the Calibre v6.0.0 release, Calibre reader now has Text-to-Speech services that utilize Windows, Google, Amazon voices as well.

I am looking for any help how to install those TTS Voices for Google and Amazon's Alexa on Calibre Reader for Windows 10?


Any help would be appreciated.

I dont think microsoft makes those voices available via the subsystem calibre uses (SAPI). But if it does, then simply installing them for SAPI should automatically make them available to be selected in the calibre viewer.

Thank you all for your responses. I've been trying to look over some of the links you've posted, but I haven't seen anything specifically how to install Google's TTS or Amazon TTS on windows yet. They both are available on Smartphone devices.

I personally use Evie TTS ebook reader which does all these for free (Just install Google Translate).

If anyone can please, help on that front then maybe we can try to get Calibre's new feature to work a LOT better.

While I read them I cry for being in linux your tts is horrible.
Doesn't compare to windows tts or MacOs
