From iLiad to DR1000: Scribbles?

Hi

Hopefully soon my DR1000 will come. Now how do I proceed with all my scribbles (the not merged on iLiad)?

Will they function as well on the DR1000?

If not, is there a way to import them in the new database?

If not - seems to be the only way to merge them, but I would not like this.

If there is no way: It would be great if someone would write a program for migrating the scribbles from iLiad to DR1000, if possible.

Thanks
Gogolo

The only way would be to merge them. The DR uses a completely different sql based database file, instead of the flat file that the iLiad uses.

Okay, thanks. Thats the problem with electronics: Nice to have databases, bad having them stuck in the past.

One can read the XML file and create the corresponding SQLlite3 database. I have code for the latter (untested, b/c I still haven't received a device) and the former can't be hard if I get a few examples for calibration. You would need to compile it yourself until I find helpful souls that could can binary MAC/Windows distributions for http://irextools.forge.ocamlcore.org/. Please don't hold your breath that I will be able to release somehthing well tested before Xmas, but I wouldn't throw the scribbles away yet.
