Issue sending PDF file to Sony 505

I have a few PDF flies which seem to work fine in the view mode on Calibre, however when I send them to my Sony 505 they end up blank.

The root files are fine and when I import them into the Reader software they transfer without any issues. I want to use Calibre because I can not alter the meta data in the root files and I would like to be able to use Calibre consistently.

Any ideas?

try going to Preferences->plugins and disabling the PDF metadata writer plugin

Hey, that worked! Yeah. Why did it work? What does disabling off the PDF metadata writer plug in do? I am trying to figure Calibre out so that I can use it in a more consistent and useful way.

normally whenever you send a book to a reader, calibre will update the metadata in the file to reflect the latest metadata in the database. Sometimes, for certain PDF files this can cause corruption of the file.
