Kobo Touch- reading offline

I am interested in buying a Kobo Touch Ereader. If I purchase a book from the ereader itself, would I be able to read it offline?

Of course! The book is downloaded to the reader. You only need the web connection to get the book onto the reader and then you can disconnect. Or, if you choose to download to your PC and then plug in your reader to transfer books, you don't need to turn on the reader's wifi at all...

yep, you can do all your reading offline -- and probably should. turning off the wifi by default makes the battery last a lot longer. most of us probably only turn on wifi to sync or to search the store.

I don't turn it on at all. I keep the wifi off to save power and do all syncing via the computer. So, yes you can. Enjoy
